Information for Parents on Safeguarding
Keeping children safe is our most important responsibility at Springhead Primary School. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and protected.
"Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child." (KCSiE)
A child-centred approach ensures that our pupils are at the heart of everything we do and is fundamental in promoting the welfare of every child.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and all staff have a role to play in ensuring that we provide the best outcomes for our pupils in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. As a team, we work tirelessly to promote the health, safety, development and wellbeing of every child, enabling them to thrive throughout their educational journey.

Operation Encompass

Information Sharing
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that concerns about pupils are discussed with parents and carers unless doing so may place a child at increased risk.
We work in partnership with Staffordshire County Council, health services and other support agencies when concerns require a higher level of intervention. Wherever possible, support is provided through early intervention to help children remain safe, healthy and successful.
