Our Commitment to Safeguarding
- All staff complete regular safeguarding training, including updates on online safety and child protection.
- New staff, volunteers, and external providers receive safeguarding induction to understand their role in protecting children.
- We maintain a culture of vigilance, where pupils know who they can talk to if they have concerns.
- Key staff are trained in safer recruitment practises to ensure the safety of our school community.
- We work closely with local safeguarding partners and agencies to provide timely support for children and families.
Operation Encompass Partnership

Springhead Primary School is proud to be part of the Operation Encompass Partnership, an information-sharing initiative between Staffordshire Police and educational settings. This partnership allows us to offer immediate support to pupils affected by domestic abuse. More information about Operation Encompass can be found here.
Information Sharing and Working with Families
We may share information with other agencies when there are concerns about a pupil’s welfare, always prioritising the child’s safety and wellbeing. Parents and carers will be informed unless sharing information could put the child at risk. We collaborate closely with the local authority and other partners to provide early intervention and support, ensuring children are safe, healthy, and able to learn effectively.
