At Springhead Primary School, we believe that wearing a school uniform promotes pride, equality, and a strong sense of belonging within our school community. Our uniform expectations are designed to be practical, smart, inclusive, and good value for money, while supporting pupils’ wellbeing, safety, and readiness to learn.
There are no required branded uniform items. Families may choose branded items if they wish, but non‑branded alternatives are equally acceptable.

Cost and Support
Equality and Inclusion
Our uniform expectations comply fully with the Equality Act 2010. Adjustments can be made to reflect pupils’ needs relating to religion, belief, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics. Requests should be made via the Headteacher.
Expectations
Pupils are expected to wear correct school uniform at all times while:
- On the school premises
- Attending school visits or representing the school, where required
When pupils are wearing Springhead Primary School uniform within the community outside of school hours, they are expected to represent the school to the same high standards of behaviour as during the school day. Where this expectation is not met, appropriate action will be taken in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy.
We take a supportive and considerate approach to uniform matters and will always work positively with families to address concerns and resolve issues appropriately.
